MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi senior Alberto Garcia has been selected to the Oregon Class 4A all-state soccer team as a defender.
Earlier, the Pioneers' three-year starter was named to the all-Greater Oregon League first team.
"He was a very solid defender for us," Mac-Hi coach Jose Garcia said. "He has come a long way as a player in his four years in the program, and as a senior he really developed into a great defender."
Alberto Garcia hasn't decided on which college he will attend in the fall, his coach said.
"Walla Walla University is a possibility," Jose Garcia said. "He is also looking at Corban University, and Walla Walla Community College is always an option."
