Margaret Moothart-Rusanoff of Walla Walla and formerly of Milton-Freewater passed away Dec. 20, 2011, at Walla
Walla General Hospital at the age of 84 years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Milton Adventist Church with Pastor Ole Olesen officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Margaret Moothart-Rusanoff to the charity of choice in care of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, OR.
Margaret Moothart-Rusanoff was born June 22, 1927, in Spokane to Herman and Gertrude Schultz. In 1948 Margaret married Otto Moothart in Pasco. The couple lived in College Place and then moved to Milton-Freewater in 1958. Otto and Margaret established Modern Floors in 1958. Modern Floors was a great part of Margaret's life; she made many friends with customers and salesmen alike. Otto passed away in 1979. In 1987 she married James Rusanoff. Margaret enjoyed traveling, gardening and photography. Her travels took her on many memorable cross-country trips that she kept a log of and took numerous pictures. Margaret was a very social person. She made friends everywhere she went and rarely forgot a name. Margaret was a member of the Milton Adventist Church in Milton-Freewater.
She is survived by her son, Harvey Moothart of Milton-Freewater; two granddaughters, Kellie Richardson and Rachel Moothart; two grandsons, Trevor Moothart and Christopher Propeck. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Rusanoff; and two daughters, Janet Waechter and Aletha Moothart. x
