Following a brief illness, Paul Lincoln Board, 75, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2011, at St. Peters Hospital, Olympia. Paul was born to Hazel (Johns) and Norman Board in The Dalles, Ore. He was the youngest of four children.
Paul lived in Walla Walla for many years raising sons, Marc and Paul. He was married to Judy (Plaquet) for 44 years. The family enjoyed boating, water skiing, camping, hiking and traveling. Paul especially enjoyed being a grandfather to granddaughters, McCall and Conner Board. Conner shared his birthday.
Following a two-year tour with the Army in Germany, Paul worked for Jack Logan and Biff Brotherton, his only two employers. His career lasted 42 years in the automotive business in Walla Walla and Seattle. Retirement was a great adventure for Paul, traveling, "going south" and being the neighborhood handyman were his pleasures. Many home projects were accomplished by Paul.
He is survived by wife, Judy of Union, Wash.; sister, Rosemary (Bill) Lloyd of Walla Walla; sons, Marc (Daniele) of Reno, Nev., and Paul of Edmonds, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and
a sister. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial celebration will be held in Walla Walla in the spring of 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to the new Community Church of Union, or the charity of your choice. xx
