ASOTIN - Despite 16 points and nine rebounds from Ronnie Hulce, the Waitsburg-Prescott girls suffered their first Southeast 2B League loss of the season here Friday night.
The hometown Panthers took advantage of cold W-P shooting to post a 59-43 victory.
Waitsburg, now 9-2 overall, shot just 27 percent from the field (12-for-45).
"We had our chances, but we couldn't get over the hump," W-P coach Jerry Baker said. "We couldn't buy a shot from the outside. Asotin is a tough place to play."
Krystal Harris added 10 points to the Waitsburg-Prescott total including a pair of 3-point field goals.
Brielle Whittaker led Asotin with 16 points and Jalisa Jose contributed 11 and a game-high 26 rebounds.
W-P hosts DeSales on Friday.
