WWVA girls drop fourth straight in loss to Tri-Cities Prep

COLLEGE PLACE - Walla Walla Valley Academy dropped its fourth straight Southeast 2B League girls basketball contest here Saturday night.

The Knights lost a 44-32 decision to Tri-Cities Prep to fall to 4-6 overall.

Alex Cuevos and Carinne Barnett led the Jaguars with 13 points apiece.

Kristie Buell had 13 points to pace WWVA.

The Knights trailed 32-22 after three quarters. They rallied on two occasions in the final period, but were unable to draw even or take the lead.

"We cut it to three in the fourth quarter and they jumped it back up to 12," WWVA assistant coach Lloyd Redberg said. "We got it down to four, then they went 10-for-10 from the line."
