Walla Walla Valley Academy boys down Tri-Cities Prep behind Lomeland's 22 points

WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Valley Academy's Daniel Lomeland canned four 3-pointers and scored 18 in the first quarter to get the Knights off to a 28-14 lead over Tri-Cities Prep.

Lomeland finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Backing Lomeland was Alexander Wagner, who filled up the stat sheet. Wagner had 12 points, four assists, four rebounds and two blocked shots. Matt Moore added 13 points, six assists and four rebounds.

"(Tri-Cities) Prep played a tough game after the first quarter," WWVA coach Scott Wagner said, "but could not overcome the big lead in the first."

Tri-Cities out scored WWVA 39-32 after the first quarter and out rebounded them 36-27 in the game.

Top rebounder in the game was Tri-Cities' Jamison Pedersen with 12. The team-high rebounder for WWVA was Brian Flegel with nine boards.
