WW County Sheriff

Walla Walla County Jail, 300 W. Alder St, Monday 1 p.m. Inmate Dustin A. Harshman, 28, reported an injury to his hand sustained in an altercation with another inmate. The alleged assault is under investigation; no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

Thefts, Burglaries

WW Police

YMCA, 340 S. Park St., Thursday. A bundle of clothes was taken from the female locker area. The father of a girl whose clothes were taken confronted a woman, 28, carrying the clothes in the parking lot of the YMCA. According to the police report, the woman dropped the clothes when confronted by the father, got in her car and drove away. Police later identified the woman and questioned her at her residence in the 1800 block of Plaza Way. The woman said she found the clothes piled in a corner of the locker room, and that she was taking the clothes to police. According to the report, the woman was arrested for third-degree theft. The name of the woman arrested could not be verified, however.

600 block of University Street, Wednesday 8 a.m. to 3:23 p.m. Bike taken from porch. Railing cut through to remove bike.

200 block of North Bellevue St., Tuesday 8-1:30 p.m. Various items taken from residence: flat-screen TV, DVD player, iPad, iPhone, Wii console and 15 Wii games.

300 block of Southwest Second Avenue, Thursday. iPhone taken; later recovered.


WW Police

400 block of South Eighth Avenue, Wednesday 8:52 p.m. Hit-and-run of unoccupied vehicle.

500 block of South College Avenue, Thursday, 7:10 a.m. Hit-and-run of unoccupied vehicle.

300 block of Southwest Fourth Street, Thursday 11:57 a.m. Two vehicles collision involving parked vehicle.

Fire, Ambulance runs

WW Ambulance

Alder and Madison streets, Thursday 4:07 p.m. Three-vehicle crash with transport of female, 23, to Providence St. Mary Medical Center.

U.S. Highway 12 near Lowden, Thursday 11 p.m. Single vehicle crash with no transports.


WW Police

300 block of Chase Avenue, Tuesday 6 p.m. to Wednesday 5 p.m. About 40 feet of chain link fence destroyed, possibly run over.
