MILTON FREEWATER - Mac-Hi scored 19 points in the fourth period here Saturday in Greater Oregon League boys basketball action, but it was too little, too late, as Ontario pulled out a 61-40 win.

"I'm trying to get these guys to attack the basket and not wait until we're down by 20," Pioneers coach Curtis Carlson said. "Their 2-3 zone gave us trouble as we were a little passive. We do a good job of swinging the ball, we need someone to penetrate the defense."

Mac-Hi's Jesse Field led all scorers as he canned four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. Derek Richwine added seven to the Pioneer effort.

Mac-Hi drops to 0-2 in the GOL and hosts Baker Saturday.
