WALLA WALLA - Dylan Radliff scored a game-high 25 points and teammate Dallen Bills posted a double-double - 22 points and 17 rebounds - to help lead Walla Walla Community College to an 84-70 victory over Treasure Valley in an NWAACC Eastern Region men's basketball game Saturday night in the Dietrich Dome.

Both teams are now 2-1 in league. The Warriors are 11-5 overall and the Chukars slipped to 3-11.

"The kids did a good job," WWCC coach Jeff Reinland said. "Dallen had a great game. 22 points and 17 rebounds. That's pretty good."

The contest was waged on even terms for much of the first half before a late WWCC surge resulted in a 40-30 lead with 10.2 seconds on the clock. Bills ended the run with a 3-point play.

Walla Walla led 40-31 at intermission.

Bills was the top scorer and rebounder in half one. He scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Jay Payne closely followed Bills with 10 points for the Warriors.

WWCC stretched its lead to as much as 20 points in the second half, 62-42, on a Payne 3-pointer at the 14:07 mark.

Treasure Valley closed to within 10 midway through the second half, but would get no closer.

One reason was the offensive efficiency of Radliff, who made 7-of-10 shots in the second half after going just 2-for-12 in the game's opening act. He made 3-of-4 tries from long distance after halftime.

Though he was happy with the triumph, Reinland acknowledged his team needs to improve.

"We're still making a lot of unforced errors," Reinland said. "We're getting open looks, but we're not knocking them down. We need to play harder and stay focused. We have a lot of maturing to do."

The Warriors travel to Yakima Valley for a league game on Wednesday.
