WALLA WALLA - Christine V. "Chris" Howell, 60, died Jan. 12, 2012, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in the pasture at 1635 Pranger Road, Walla Walla. Memorial contributions may be made to EAGALA through Mountain View-ColonialDeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
Chris was born May 9, 1951, in Navota, Calif. She graduated from high school in Summerville, Calif., moving to this area from Idaho in 1987. On Nov. 1, 1994, she and Harvey Howell married in Twin Falls, Idaho. For 20 years, she has been a counselor in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, owning her own business "Teaming for Success" for the last six years.
She loved horses, kids and scrapbooking; she touched a lot of people in her life. For the past 13 years, she has been working at H R Block. She was a member of EAGALA - The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association.
Chris is survived by her husband, Harvey Howell, at their home; her daughter, Renee Reeves of Baker City, Ore.; foster daughter, Emilie DeLarosa of Walla Walla; four sons, Richard Curtis of Walla Walla, James Davis of Anchorage, Alaska, Robert Curtis of Pullman, Wash., and Justin Fine of Walla Walla; five grandchildren, Michael Curtis, Daniel Curtis, Aria Reeves, Bailee Reeves and Isaac Curtis. She was preceded in death by her mother and her father, Edward Creigh; a daughter, Pamela Louise Davis; and her mother-in-law, Carol Howell.
