Wolves men drop West Coast Baptist

COLLEGE PLACE - Walla Walla University's men hit 44 percent of their field goals to hand visiting West Coast Baptist College an 80-68 defeat Monday night.

Mark Moore led the Wolves' effort, hitting 8-of-17 shots and was 7-of-9 from the charity stripe to put up 24 points.

Josh Hough was 7-of-10 from the floor en route to 19 points, WWU teammate Andrew Bailey scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Bryce Doherty scored 12 points.

West Coast Baptist was led by Carlos Johnson's 20 points and 11 boards.

The Wolves held a 33-29 halftime lead before outscoring the Eagles 47-39 in the second half.

Walla Walla outrebounded West Coast Baptist 51-41, but the Eagles hit 11 treys to WWU's six.

The Wolves next host Arizona Christian University at 6 p.m. Thursday.
