Walla Walla Dance Co. to present 'Adventures of Alice'

The Walla Walla Dance Company, under the direction of Nancy Wells, will present "The Adventures of Alice" at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in Cordiner Hall, 46 S. Park St., on the Whitman College campus.

In a delightfully different take on a well-loved tale, Alice, played by Aanika Swant, and the rabbit, played by Jason Iloa, dance their way through gardens, games, and parties.

Chloe Danielson is cast as White Queen of Diamonds; Natalie Hargreaves as Red Queen of Hearts; Charles Gordon as Jack of Diamonds; and Louie Miranda and Junior Miranda as Jacks of Spades.

Emmie Ogden, Sadie Robinson and Mimi Filan are cast as Cheshire Cats; Jordan Duehn as Caterpillar; Nicole Hamada as Mad Hatter; Cougar Henderson as Tweedle Dee; Daniel Rose as Tweedle Dum; and Amanda Gallaway, as Tea Mouse. More than 100 local dancers ages 3 and up also will perform on the stage.

The performance features jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, creative and break-dance choreography.
