WWU to host evening with authors Dan Orozco, Jess Walter Wednesday


COLLEGE PLACE -- Walla Walla University will present an evening with authors Dan Orozco and Jess Walter, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at Village Hall, 204 S. College Ave.

Orozco teaches creative writing at the University of Idaho. He is a former Stegner Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford University.

Orozco's work has appeared in several "Best American" anthologies and literary magazines.

Walter, the author of five novels and one nonfiction book, is a former National Book Award finalist and winner of the Edgar Allan Poe Award.

Readings from both authors include those that appeared in "Night Lights," an anthology published by Humanities Washington, featuring work from 21 Northwest writers. The event is free and open to the public.
