MOSES LAKE - The Wa-Hi Blue Devils fell to Moses Lake, 64-48, in Big Nine Conference boys basketball action Saturday afternoon.

Moe Handcox led Wa-Hi scorers with 11 points on two 3-pointers. Nick Peasley hit twice from downtown in scoring eight points.

Tanner Cranor led Wa-Hi rebounders with 10 boards, but the Blue Devils were outrebounded 38-35 by Moses Lake.

Five Chiefs broke double figures in the 16-point victory.

Wa-Hi struggled offensively, shooting 18-of-46 from the field and 8-of-18 from the charity stripe.

"We missed a lot of opportunities," Wa-Hi coach John Golden said. "We missed a lot of layins and free throws. Things that we didn't capitalize on and they did - add that with the turnovers and that is a lot of chances that we didn't give ourselves."

The Blue Devils had 16 turnovers compared to 11 for the Chiefs.

"It was an unfortunate game on the road in which we got into some foul trouble," Golden said.

Wa-Hi plays the Richland Bombers Tuesday at home at 7:30 p.m.

The Blue Devils are now 7-8 overall and 3-4 in league.
