ELGIN - Weston McEwen's Marlene Bodmer led her team with eight points and eleven boards in a losing effort Saturday night against the Elgin Huskies, 44-41, in Blue Mountain Conference girls' basketball action.

The loss drops W-M's conference record to 5-2 and the Huskies improve to 1-6.

"We led in the fourth quarter and had some opportunities to keep that lead," W-M coach Amber Doremus said, "but we had some turnovers in critical minutes. Hopefully we will wake up and decide that we don't want to have another game like this."

Taylor Rudolph scored nine points and Molly von Borstel added eight before fouling out.

The Huskies had four 3-pointers as a team.

W-M plays at Pilot Rock Tuesday at 5 p.m.
