WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Community College shook off the wintery doldrums and took care of business here Saturday in NWAACC women's East Region basketball action.

The Warriors roared to 36-20 halftime advantage and finished the task with a 66-41 win.

"We hadn't played in a week (Wednesday's game at Yakima was postponed) and I didn't know how we would come out," Warrior coach Bobbi Hazeltine said. "I was really happy as we defended well and got balance scoring. It was a good team effort. We have a lot of kids that can score."

The Warriors got ‘balance' scoring as four scored in double-digits. Sienna Edmunson led the way with 14 points and a game-high seven assists. Leslie Stillar and Alex Pfefferle each chipped in 12 points and Tai Jensen and Hailey Felgenhauer added 10 each.

"Sienna had a great game," Hazeltine said. "She took the ball to the hole and had her best passing game of the year."

The Warriors improved to 3-1 in East Region play and travel to Spokane Wednesday.
