Letters To The Editor - Drive speed limit to and from Bluewood

You pay money for gear, for gas, for a lift ticket and for food during the day. Let's face it, skiing and snowboarding are not the cheapest hobby. But for people coasting down the mountain from Bluewood after an activity-filled day, it is very expensive.

Unfortunately, Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputies and National Forest police are really cracking down on the North Touchet. They will pull anyone over for any violation, even the Bluewood bus.

The employees on the mountain are really encouraging people to take it easy down the hill, even if it means riding the brakes the entire time. The speed limit is 30, 40, 50, 35, and then 25 going up, and we can't stress how crucial it is to follow it to a T.

Let's just say the law enforcement is not struggling for money since Bluewood opened. Make 'em leave us alone! Go slow!
