RICHLAND - Additional seats are now available for tours of the B Reactor National Historic Landmark during July and August.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the four-hour tours allow people to visit the world's first full-scale plutonium production reactor at the Hanford Site.
Tours begin and end at the B Reactor Tour Headquarters, 2000 Logston Blvd., in Richland off of State Route 240. Tours are free and are open to visitors 12 and up.
Participants do not need to be a U.S. citizen to attend and cameras are welcome.
Registration is available online at manhattanprojectbreactor.hanford.gov or by calling 509-376-1647 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
