WALLA WALLA -- The deadline to register by mail or update current voter information for the August primary is Monday.
Registered voters can update their addresses in person at the Walla Walla County Elections Office up until 4 p.m. July 9 or online until midnight the same day at co.walla-walla.wa.us.
Those wishing to register by mail must fill out and mail a Washington State Voter Registration Form, which must be postmarked no later than July 9.
Eligible adults who are not currently registered in Washington State have until July 30 to register in person at the Elections Office.
The Aug. 7 primary will narrow down candidates for several key races, including one senatorial race, two congressional races and several state and regional races, including governor, attorney general and two Walla Walla County Commissioner races.
Also on the ballot this August are a $7 million College Place bond measure to improve College Avenue and Rose Street and a $7.5 million Walla Walla aquatics centers levy.
The Walla Walla County Elections Office is at 310 W. Poplar St.
