Relay for Life fundraiser set for Sunday in Dayton

DAYTON -- Dayton's "Full Throttle" Relay for Life team will hold a fundraiser Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. in the Dayton Historic Depot courtyard, at the corner of 2nd and Commercial Streets. The Full Throttle team is a partnership of employees of Blue Mountain Counseling and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

A barbecue hot dog lunch will be served, featuring hot dogs, baked beans, chips, watermelon and ice cream brownie desert, plus a choice of water or soft drink. Cost is $4.50 per person or $20 per family of five or more.

Faith Street and Grace Band, a contemporary Christian band, will play from 1-3 p.m. A silent auction will be held, with bidding from noon-2:30 p.m. A dunk tank donated by the Sheriff's Office will feature many local "celebrities."

Funds raised will go toward Dayton's Relay for Life event in September. For more information, contact Chrisann Christiansen or Jasmin Helm at 509-382-1164.
