  • Daniel Carl-Jose Martinez, 21, no address available, was sentenced June 11 on one count third-degree theft. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, 364 days in the county jail with 328 days suspended, credit for 36 days served, 328 days bench probation. On June 1 Martinez pleaded guilty to taking keys from a person with intent to deprive that person of the keys on April 29.
  • Reid B. Dyllion, 23, Washington State Penitentiary, 1313 N. 13th Ave., was sentenced June 11 on two counts custodial assault. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $145 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 270 days in the county jail, credit for 70 days served, 12 months community custody. On May 29 Dyllion pleaded guilty to assaulting two officers at the Penitentiary who were performing official duties at the time of the assaults, on or about Oct. 25, 2011.
  • Jason W. Barnett, 37, no address available, was sentenced June 11 on one count each third-degree theft and third-degree possession of stolen property. The sentence included restitution of $1,100, $200 in court costs, $143.10 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, 364 days in the county jail with 334 suspended, 364 days bench probation, 30 days converted to 240 hours community service. On May 29 Barnett pleaded guilty to, with intent to deprive the true owner of such property, taking tire rims belonging to Spence Tire with a value not exceeding $750 and while knowing they were stolen possessing tire rims belonging to Spence Tire of a value not exceeding $750 between April 11 and April 12, 2011.
  • Phillip A. Herring, 33, Walla Walla County Jail, was sentenced June 11 on two counts third-degree assault. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included restitution of $5.39, $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 13 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 45 days served, 12 months community custody. On Feb. 6 Herring pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers who were performing official duties on Nov. 29.
  • Derek M.M. Cole, 28, 910 S. Wilbur Ave., was sentenced June 11 on two counts second-degree burglary. Three other counts were dismissed. The sentence included restitution of $414.50, $200 in court costs, $45.40 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $100 biological fee, 51 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections concurrent with a Franklin County cause. On June 11 Cole pleaded guilty to unlawfully entering or remaining in two separate buildings with the intent to commit a crime, both on or about Feb. 2, 2011.
  • Devin M. Yeager, 19, 303 E. Oak St. was sentenced June 18 on one count second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission and second-degree burglary. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included restitution of $30,600, $200 in court costs, $217.60 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 60 days in the county jail, credit for 36 days served. On June 4 Yeager pleaded guilty to entering and remaining unlawfully in a residence with intent to commit a crime on Jan. 12 and took without permission a pickup truck belonging to another person on Jan. 11.
