Rhonda Kenworthy

Jan, 6, 1960 - July 8, 2012

Rhonda Lea Kenworthy, 52, passed away, surrounded by her beloved family on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at her home in Walla Walla.
Rhonda Lea Kenworthy was born on Jan. 6, 1960, on Pepperell Air Force Base in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, to George Leslie and Shirley Rose Engman. She was raised in Walla Walla County and was happily married to surviving husband, Richard "Jim" James Kenworthy, on June 17, 1979.

Rhonda and others considered her to be a "Domestic Goddess" who lovingly cared for her home, family, friends, neighbors and welcomed with open arms, many other non-blood-related women, men and children to whom she adopted, loved and cared for as if they were her family.
She and her husband were also loving foster parents to several children in Oregon and Washington.
Rhonda was an extremely artistic individual who was a self taught photographer with a keen eye. She loved to sing, draw, sew and had a strong passion to restore antiques to their original beauty. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing and taking drives into the country to look for deer. In her free time she loved to garden and cook, and she was well known for her famous potato salad and her delicious macaroni and cheese. She took pleasure in spending quality time with her family and friends and enjoyed taking road trips, playing games/cards and going to yard sales.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 33 years of marriage, Richard "Jim" Kenworthy; two daughters and their fiancs, Rikki Kenworthy and Summer Gaylord and Jami Kenworthy and Sean Nichols; two sons, Brady Seeliger and Kyle Christen; brother, Richard "Rick" Engman; sister, Leslie Bennett; three granddaughters, Shantel Perkins, Taylor Perkins-Dugger and Tatianna Wentz; two dogs, Shasta and Emi; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rhonda Kenworthy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Shirley Engman; daughter, Karina Kenworthy; and her four dogs, Bella Rose, Peanut, Twinkie and Shotsie.

At Rhonda's request, no funeral or service will be held, however a "Celebration of Life" (potluck) is scheduled for Sunday, July 22, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Blue Mountain Community Church, located at 928 Sturm Ave.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions/donations may be made in the name of Rhonda Lea Kenworthy and sent to Herring-Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA 99362, to be given to the foster children of Washington state.

We will forever love, miss, cherish, treasure our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, cousin, best friend and domestic goddess, Rhonda Lea Kenworthy.
