Walla Walla doctor promoted in role as professor at UW


Dr. Richard Simon Jr., medical director of the Kathryn Severyns Dement Sleep Disorders Center at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, has been promoted to the position of clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Simon became a clinical assistant professor at the school in 2005. His promotion to clinical associate professor was based on his clinical work, teaching and research. He is a nationally known speaker and has taught at the University of Washington, national sleep seminars and locally.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Simon will continue his sleep medicine practice at St. Mary.
