Walla Walla Applicants are being sought to represent the business and industry seat on the Walla Walla County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
Applicants do not need to have any specialized knowledge of waste management.
But the committee is particularly interested in seeking representation from businesses that are either large volume waste producers or have waste that can be categorized as special in terms of how it needs to be processed.
The person chosen for the seat will represent business and industry interests and act as a liaison to those in the commercial sector who work to comply with recommendations of the county Solid Waste Management Plan.
Committee members need to regularly participate in monthly meetings lasting approximately one and a half hours each.
Information is available from Melissa Warner, city of Walla Walla sustainability coordinator, at 524-4549.
The deadline for applications is Aug. 3.
