AUBURN, Wash. - The Walla Walla Pacific 9-10-year-old All-Star Little League team fell to Federal Way Saturday at the Washington State Little League Tournament, 4-2.

Pacific now doesn't play again until 6 p.m. Monday against an opponent to be determined.

"We just didn't hit the ball that well," Pacific coach Steve Barker said. "We only had three hits all game long. We pitched all right, didn't have any fielding errors but made a couple of base running mistakes that may have cost us."

After one inning, the game was tied at one apiece. Walla Walla got its run on a Gavin Wolcott double and he was driven in by Matt McKenzie with a single.

The only other run for Walla Walla came in the fifth inning on a Becker Saltmarsh double, and he scored on an RBI groundout.

Christopher Ferrano pitched the first two innings for Walla Walla and was relieved by Dylan Ashbeck.

Ferrano gave up two runs, one by a bases-loaded walk and D. Ashbeck would give up two runs as well.

Ashbeck walked in another run for Federal Way and the two walked-in runs proved to be the difference in the game.

McKenzie did the catching in the game for Walla Walla.
