Mary Lue Harrison

Mary Lue Harrison passed away on July 12, 2012, at Garrison Creek Lodge in Walla Walla at the age of 78 years. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Munselle Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater. Private interment will be at the Milton-Freewater Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012, from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater.
Mary Lue was born in Baker, Ore., on Feb. 4, 1934, to Bill and Freta Leish. She married Bill Harrison in Eugene, Ore., on Feb. 20, 1950. The couple moved to Alaska in 1955 before settling in Forks, Wash., in 1960. In 1972 they moved to Milton-Freewater, where Bill passed away in 1979. She later moved to Bonney Lake, Wash., where she lived until returning to Walla Walla in 2011 to be near her daughter. She was a generous, loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed needlework, pottery and woodworking.
She is survived by a son, Dale Harrison; daughters, Sherry Murphy and Judy Rondeau; a brother, Doug Leish; longtime companion, Lowell Marlatt; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
