Winery's new website evinces Spanish style

A new website for Castillo De Feliciana Vineyard & Winery is like a portal to Andalucía.

The southern region of Spain was inspiration for the winery's redesigned website and an extension of the Spanish wines for which Castillo De Feliciana is known.

The vineyard and winery located on 66 acres just south of Walla Walla, 85728 County 551 Road in Milton-Freewater, has partnered with a full-service advertising agency, AMI Advertising Agency, specializing in the winery and tourism industries.

"The goal is for people searching for a unique winery in Eastern Washington a chance to experience an extension of the Spanish style tasting room online," according to an announcement.

Dr. Sam Castillo, owner of the winery, said the website is part of a change reflective of the winery's growth. The new website will allow the boutique winery to expand its reach and offer online sales.

"This is a direct sale to consumer approach that will certainly enhance our profitability," Castillo said in the prepared statement. "Our market will be expanded to the worldwide web. We are excited by our current direction with AMI Advertising in a lead position."

The website is also an alternative to Castillo De Feliciana's recently closed location in Snohomish. The location was reportedly shut down by landlords, forcing the winery and other tenants to find new homes. The new site will allow the winery to stay connected to customers there while another spot is sought.

Additionally, Flamenco Club members will have exclusive access to the wine club page for specials and incentives. For more details visit castillodefeliciana.com.

A longtime Walla Walla roofing company has received one of Firestone's crowning recognitions.

Gillespie Roofing Inc. was recently presented with a 2012 Firestone Building Products Partner in Quality Award, a recognition for its dedication to roofing installation excellence. Gillespie was one of 193 contractors throughout North America to receive the industry award.

To make the cut contractors must have installed a minimum of four warranted Firestone roofs in each of the past five years; maintained at least 1 million square feet of Firestone roofs under warranty; and achieved an annual Quality Incidence Rating of 2.0 or less. The latter measures each contractor's quality performance based on warranty repair incidences per million square feet under warranty.

"Gillespie Roofing, Inc. embodies the expertise and quality execution that makes Firestone licensed contractors among the best in the industry - unsurpassed skill, outstanding workmanship and consummate professionalism - and is well deserving of this industry honor," said Tim Dunn, president of Firestone Building Products, in a statement.
