Thefts, Burglaries

WW Police

Kmart, 2200 Isaacs Avenue. Irvin A. Rodriguez, 20, a Kmart employee, was arrested on investigation of second degree theft after reportedly stealing $1,200 of video games and movies.

Jewett Hall, Whitman College, 960 Isaacs Ave. $200 taken from dorm locker.

WW County Sheriff

400 block of East Sixth Street, Waitsburg. Motorcycle reported stolen.

1000 block of Locher Road. Bedroom set, flatware, miscellaneous tools and a juicer reported stolen from rental house.

500 block of Northwest Evans Street. Medications from dresser.

MF Police

000 block of Northeast 11th Avenue. Butterfly taken from yard.

Columbia County Sheriff

City Pool, 204 E. Oak St., Dayton. Bicycle.



COLLISIONS

WW Police

Poplar Street and Eighth Avenue, 3:10 p.m., Wednesday. Two vehicles: no injuries reported.

WW County Sheriff

Cottonwood Road, 5:30 p.m., Wednesday. Motorcycle driven off road: rider transported with minor injuries.



Arrests

WW Police

Robert W. Lawson, 21, 907 Frazier Drive, this morning. Charge: investigation of driving under the influence.

Irvin A. Rodriguez, 20, 19 S. Roosevelt, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of second degree theft.

Mariela Bahena, 19, 216 W. Morton Street, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of driving while intoxicated.

Miguel Angel Leyes Jr., 19, Willow Street, Walla Walla. Charge: investigation of being a fugitive from justice.

CP Police

Douglas A. Acosta, 19, 213 N.W. Maria St. Wednesday. Charge: investigation of driving under the influence.



Fire, Ambulance runs

CP Fire Dept.

630 S.E. Date Avenue, 2:50 p.m., Wednesday. Fire in single family home caused by child playing with lighter and paper. Fire confined to one bedroom: no injuries reported.



Vandalism

WW County Sheriff

100 block of Lado Viejo. Vehicle window broken.

MF Police

900 block of South Mill Street. Vehicle windshield smashed.



Miscellaneous

WW County Sheriff

900 block of Locher Road. Larry Wickersham, 56, was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center where he was treated and released for dog bites to the hand, arm and head, Wednesday. A local fire crew member, Leigh Anne Sauve, responded to the scene and shot the dog with a .380 caliber pistol after the animal attacked two other people and threatened her. Sauve reportedly hit the dog twice before it ran away.
