Stella Bohlman

March 19, 1912 - July 13, 2012

Longtime College Place resident, Stella Bohlman, 100, died July 13,
2012, at Caring Hands, 618 Evans St., College Place, Washington.
Stella was born March 19, 1912, in Goodwater, Saskatchewan, Canada
to Wilhelm "Otto" Bohlman and Jessie Olive Reed Bohlman. She attended
Columbia Academy for 2 years, and later received a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Medical Technology from Walla Walla
(College) University in 1939. After working in the Portland
area, she came to Hermiston, Oregon to work in the office of
her brother, Dr. Ivan Bohlman in 1941. In 1946 when Dr. Bohlman
moved his practice to Walla Walla, she moved to College
Place and continued her work in his office in Walla Walla.
Stella loved her family. She was always there to help a
family member and was especially always interested in her
nieces, nephews and later their children and grandchildren.
She believed in Christian education and through the years
a number of students, both family members and friends,
lived in her home while attending academy or college.

She loved to have fun, especially with family. She was always
ready to take off on a trip, whether it was camping in
the mountains or a road trip that would prove to be another
adventure for herself and those traveling with her.
She loved to tell the nieces and nephews about adventures
that had happened to her and other family members
during her lifetime. She also had a wonderful sense of humor
and always enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends.
A member of the College Place Village SDA Church,
she held many different offices there over the years. She
loved the Lord and always modeled His love by her actions.
She was also a member of the Walla Walla University
Alumni Association.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dr. Ivan Bohlman,
Dr. John Bohlman, Vernon Bohlman, Raymond Bohlman
and her sister, Teresa Bohlman Potter. She is survived by
many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren
and a host of friends.

Friends are invited to a memorial service, Tuesday,
July 24, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Village
SDA Church, 12th and Larch Streets, College
Place. Pastor Neal Matson will officiate, along
