Little Leaguers to take field with Sweets

WALLA WALLA - The already-youthful Walla Walla Sweets might seem a little younger tonight. And there will be a lot more of them.

That's because all 13 teams participating in the Washington Little League majors state tournament this week will be taking the field along with the Sweets players before Walla Walla faces off for the final game of its series with Klamath Falls at 5:05 p.m.

Valley League is representing District 5 this year after defeating Pacific in the district championship game 7-3. Valley faces Centralia in its first game of the tournament today at 10:30 a.m.

Centralia advanced to face Valley after defeating Burlington 10-4 in the first round of the tournament Friday.
