Valley continues state tourney play against Mill Creek today


WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Valley faces Mill Creek, an 8-6 winner over Richland National on Sunday, today at 3 p.m. in the winners' bracket quarterfinals of the Washington State Majors Little League tournament on Field 1 of Valley Little League's baseball complex.

Valley had a day off Monday after defeating Centralia, 14-4, Sunday.

On the other side of the winners' bracket, South Kitsap and Kent face off today at 12:30 p.m., also at Field 1.

South Kitsap demolished Riverview, 20-0, Sunday, whereas Kent was a 15-10 winner over Woodinville.

Mercer Island advanced past Richland National, 10-0, in the consolation bracket Monday. Glenwood eliminated Centralia, 4-0, Woodinville defeated Central Vancouver, 9-1, and Burlinton-Edison beat Riverview, 10-7.

Today in the consolation bracket, Glenwood faces Mercer Island on Field 2 at 10 a.m. and Woodinville and Burlington square off at 10 a.m. on Field.
