Merna was born in Pomeroy, on June 28, 1932, as the second and last child of Roy and Winifred Clark. She grew up in Pomeroy, attending both grade and high school. She married Watson (Tod) Davis in August of 1952. Her first child Roy, was born the following August, followed by regular 2 year installments of their other children, Ray Russ and Rhonda. She had been a resident of Dayton since 1961.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; sister, June Clark/McNeil and husband Watson (Tod) Davis. She is survived by her four children, Roy of Walla Walla, Ray of Garfield, Wash., Russ at home in Dayton, and Rhonda Lawson of Spokane; along with ten grandchildren, Rachel McCauley of Walla Walla, Kathleen Davis of Walla Walla, Connor Davis of Walla Walla, Chris Davis of Boise, Ida., Alisa Magee of Spokane, Gunner Davis of Walla Walla, Josh Steadman of Spokane, Shawn Lawson of Spokane, Savanna Lawson of Spokane, and Shelby Lawson of Spokane; she also left 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Pomeroy on Saturday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at Richardson-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pomeroy City Cemetery. Please sign an on-line book of memories at www.merchantfuneralhome.com.
