Walla Walla — Recess Monkey, a band of three Seattle area teachers, will perform their high-energy, dance tunes in a series of kid-friendly free concerts in the area.
On Aug. 2 they will play at 5:30 p.m. in the Burbank Library, 875 Lake Road.
On Aug. 3 they will bring the music to Walla Walla Public Library, 238 E. Alder St. for shows at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Then at 6 p.m. the band will perform at the Walla Walla Sweets baseball game at Borleske Stadium, 409 E. Rees Ave.
The concert at the Sweets game is free with admission to the game.
Recess Monkey bandmates Jack Forman, Daron Henry and Drew Holloway met while working at the same Seattle school.
The trio has recorded a number of CDs that captured nationwide attention.
