Shakespeare productions come to Walla Walla

— The Shakespeare Walla Walla Summer Festival will stage William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)," in repertory Aug. 2-26 at the Power House Theatre, 111 N. Sixth Ave.

Show times and dates of each performance vary.

"Romeo and Juliet" stars Michael Shenerfelt and Brittany Morgan in the title roles in this tale of star-crossed love.

"The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" stars Wolfe Coleman, Gordon Carpenter and David Goldstein.

The trio of actors will portray 100 characters as they race though all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in less than two hours.

Brad Willcuts, a Walla Walla High School graduate, will play the parts of Paris and The Prince.

Willcuts has been working professionally in New York City and around the country on tour.

Brian Senter, director of performing arts at Walla Walla High School, plays The Friar in "Romeo and Juliet."

Ticket prices are $9 to $50 for adults and $7 to $40 for youth and can be ordered online at shakespearewallawalla.org, at the box office, at the Visitor Center Kiosk or by calling 509-529-6500.

The box office is open Wednesday through Friday 3-5:30 p.m. and two hours before show times.
