Singer/songwriter Candace Brown to celebrate release of first album with party

Local singer and songwriter Candace Brown will celebrate the release of her first album, "Vivid," with a party at 7 p.m. Aug. 9. in Building 270, 270 E. Cessna Ave., near the Walla Walla Regional Airport.

There will be coffee, dessert and a CD-signing. The evening will begin with a live performance of songs from the CD, featuring Brown on piano and vocals, Michael Simon on bass and Brian Griffith on drums.

After the show, guests will adjourn to the back field for a garden party with croquet, bocce ball and horseshoes under twinkling lights, and enjoy desserts from Colville Street Patisserie and iced coffee and teas from the Walla Walla Roastery. CDs will be available for purchase for $10.

Brown got her initial break as the opening singer at the recent Four Tenors performances.
