WESTON -- Work to finish repairs to city water lines is expected to conclude this afternoon, restoring water for roughly 300 Weston water customers.
A mudslide caused by a leaking pipe that supplies water to Smith's Frozen Foods damaged the city water line Saturday.
"Thankfully our public works crew was able to get that patch up quickly," Henningsen said.
Henningsen said city officials and volunteers showed a strong community effort.
"Overall, it was a community effort, and we're proud of that," Henningsen said. "The number of volunteers was really incredible."
According to Henningsen, there are no signs the city water has been contaminated, but residents are asked to boil drinking water until results from a water quality test are returned, possibly this afternoon.
