Hometown: She was born in Leadville, Colo., two miles above sea level. Her father worked in mines, so the family traveled around the country.
What brought you to Walla Walla?: Her job at AAA. She loves travel and explore.
Favorite memory: "Road trips I've taken with my sons.
"We toured the great Southwest, the canyons. We went to the Albuquerque, N.M., balloon festival. We also went to Taos, N.M., one of my favorite places in the world.
"We went to Glen Canyon up to Zion in the last week of September, first week of October. The fall colors of Aspen were almost translucent gold.
"We were hearing classical music from somewhere in the woods. A couple of German tourists had their Alpine horns and the music just echoed off the walls ... It was pretty cool."
Favorite music: John Coltrane, jazz and classical.
Favorite movies: "Red," "The Descendants" and the "Bourne Identity" series.
Favorite books: "I love mysteries like Tony Hillerman. His character Joe Leaphorn uses AAA Indian Country maps."
Favorite foods: Italian and Greek.
Favorite local place: "Pioneer Park -- it is just beautiful."
Most recent purchase: Groceries.
Dream vacation: "A two- or three-month, all-expenses-paid tour of Europe, bike and hike and rail."
Worst job: "I was working for a wholesaler in Salt Lake City and the receivables manager asked me to come in to talk about something, and he wanted me to sit on his lap.
"So I quit, and the CPA was running after me, yelling 'Don't quit.'
"The stuff on 'Mad Men'-- that's mild."
