Lewis and Patty Key will celebrate 50 years of marriage today.
A family trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is planned for a later date.
Sweethearts at McLoughlin High School, they graduated in 1961 and wed on June 10, 1962, at Federated Church in Milton-Freewater. The Rev. Ed Morrison officiated.
After college, Lewis farmed for many years and now keeps busy with mayoral duties in Milton-Freewater. He's also active in many local organizations and is a real estate broker and agent. He enjoys woodworking and traveling.
Patty finds time to garden and do crafts and admits to being her husband's secretary, getting them to the many functions they are involved in. Both enjoyed square dancing for many years.
They have a son, Greg Key of Seattle; and a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Scott Logan of Portland; and two grandchildren, Adam and Emma Logan.
