WALLA WALLA - Recent Wa-Hi graduate Marcos Medina is the recepient of the John Eagon Scholar-Athlete award for 2012.
The $500 scholarship is in memory of John Eagon, who was a 1994 Wa-Hi graduate, and was himself an outstanding athlete (he played football, basketball and tennis) and scholar.
Medina graduated with a 3.75 GPA and took numerous Advanced Placement classes, including American literature/composition, calculus, physics and U.S. history.
He was a four-year varsity soccer player as well as a National Honor Society member
Medina will attend Whitman College in the fall.
