MOSES LAKE - The Walla Walla Wrath fastpitch team finished tied for third in the golf bracket at the Rattler Rumble here over the weekend.

The Wrath opened with a 13-0 win over the Zillah Leopards in five innings on Saturday, and then a 15-0 win over the Ephrata Express in three innings.

The Othello Triple Threat then handed the Wrath an 11-0 defeat to send the Wrath to the semifinals Sunday. The Washington Explosion then edged the Wrath, 5-4, in the gold bracket semifinal.

Kaylee Erdman pitched two of the games for the Wrath, including the semifinal.

"She stepped up and pitched really well against a good team in the Explosion," Wrath coach Jason Postlewait said.

Brittany Postlewait caught all four games for the Wrath, and was 5-for-9 at the plate.

The Wrath took just nine of their 18 players to the tournament, with many attending the Gonzaga basketball camp.

"We were really pleased with how they performed," coach Postlewait said.
