From Salsa to country cool, Walla Faces to have music tonight through Sunday


WALLA WALLA - Walla Faces tasting room has lined up some varied musical entertainment for the weekend.

Tonight, Eddie Manzanares and Caf Blanco will play salsa tunes for dancing.

Friday night, the Dakota Brown Band from Pendleton takes the stage at 7 p.m. with their original pop tunes.

Saturday night will feature the Wicker Chair Rhinos from Waitsburg.

Finishing off the weekend, Sunday afternoon cafe at 3 p.m. will feature Spanish flamenco music by Eddie Manzanares with Jerry Jukol.

Manzanares has more than 20 years on the road as a musician, having performed for audiences throughout the world.

His performances are a combination of Latin styles. He enjoys performing salsa, cha cha cha, son Cubano, and son Montuno songs.

The Dakota Brown Band from Pendleton plays original acoustic pop, soul and rock.

The band has just released a new CD of original tunes

Dakota Brown, 20, found out following a car accident that he loved singing.

A guitar player prior to the accident, he was forced to relearn guitar, left-handed, due to injuries to one hand.

Brown teamed up with a local guitarist, Luke Basile, bassist Mike Kellison and drummer Tucker Murphey and now sings and plays.

Paul Gregutt and Larry Davidson, who constitute the Wicker Chair Rhinos, hail from Waitsburg. They play folk,rock, blues and country cool.
