WALLA WALLA - During Lace Day, the Walla Walla Lacy Lacers will give demonstrations that focus on the art of making lace from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 7 at Whitman Mission National Historic Site, 328 Whitman Mission Road.

Many examples of lace will be displayed and creating various kinds of lace by hand will be shown.

The group is making items for Project Warm-Up. In 2011 they donated books and handcrafted lace bookmarks to adorn the "Literacy and Lace" Christmas tree at the Junior Club's annual mini Christmas tree auction.

There is no entrance fee to get into the historic site.
