Gene Krause
December 26, 1946 - June 19, 2012

Dayton, Washington resident, Henry Eugene "Gene" Krause, 65, passed away June 19, 2012, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla, Washington. Gene was born December 26, 1946, in Dayton, Washington, to Henry and Martha Fullerton Krause. He had lived in Dayton all of his life, graduating from Dayton High School in 1965. He attended Yakima Valley Community College and Washington State University.

On February 17, 1968, he and Marie "Miki" Stockburger married in Pullman, Washington. They later
divorced. On June 8, 1979, he and Donna Randolph were married in Walla Walla. They also divorced. On January 21, 2006, he and Janis
Beasley married in Dayton.

Gene was a lifelong self-employed farmer in Dayton until 1988.
He then worked for Schwerin Farms in Walla Walla and Juris Farms in Dayton. He enjoyed rides to check on the wheat fields, going out to
eat, especially lunch at Clarette's, looking at homes for sale, watching television shows, including John Wayne, Alaska State Trooper shows
and M.A.S.H. He loved putting on dinners, entertaining and telling jokes. He had been a member of the Dayton Eagles for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Janis, at home; his daughter and son in-law, Sandy and Doug Kinzer of Helmer, Idaho; four sons: Darryl
and his wife Monica Krause of Pullman, Roddy Krause of College Place; Brian Buroker and his companion Stacy Klingenstein
of Dayton; and Dana and his wife Stacy Demaris of Bemidji, Minnesota; two sisters and brothers-inlaw:
Linda and Paul Lewis of Spokane and Joann and Ike Maxwell of Huntsville, Washington;
eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a celebration of life dinner at the Dayton Eagles at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8,
