DAYTON -- The annual Brix and Brew Festival and Benefit Auction is set for March 16 in a new venue.
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce fundraiser will be at Running T Ranch on North Touchet Road, which can provide larger space for the event, Chamber president Bev Rising said.
Food will be catered by Weinhard Caf and local beers, regional wines and a variety of auction items will be offered in silent and live auctions. Those items include trips, jewelry, Mariner baseball tickets and other merchandise donated by citizens and businesses to support the Chamber.
The grand auction item is a two-night, three-day trip to Victoria, B.C., donated by Columbia REA.
Event private reserve sponsor is Pacific Power, which donated $1,500 to the Chamber. Proceeds will go toward 2012 Chamber operating expenses and to sustain Chamber-sponsored events.
Businesses who wish to sponsor a table, or contribute to the auction can contact the Chamber at 382-4825.
Brix and Brew begins at 5:30 p.m. The $30 tickets can be purchased at Dayton Chamber of Commerce, either by calling 509-382-4825 or 800-882-6299 or at 114 E. Main St. Raffle tickets for a matching necklace/earring aqua Swarovski crystals set from Martin's Jewelers are available for $10 at the Chamber office.
Transportation is available for $3 through the Columbia County Transportation. The bus will make several round trips through the evening from the bus garage at 507 W. Cameron St., beginning at 5 p.m.
