Series of driver safety classes to take place around area

WALLA WALLA - AARP Driver Safety Classes have been scheduled for March-May.

Learn safe driving strategies, how to handle distractions and other challenges. Learn about new technology, safety features in your car, roundabouts and how to deal with emergency vehicles, bicycles and pedestrian traffic.

Class fee is $14. AARP members receive a $2 discount. For more information call 509-525-0641.

‘Empowered Aging' seminar slated for March 18

WALLA WALLA - Wheatland Village presents "Empowered Aging" with Colin Milner, CEO of the International Council on Active Aging March 18, 2-4 p.m., at the Wheatland Village Sweet Onion Restaurant, 1500 Catherine Street.

Milner is an award-winning author and expert on the health of older adults. He is the author of more than 250 articles on aging related issues.
