Anne Davis
Sept. 12, 1915 - March 2, 2012

Anne Davis passed to her rest on March 2, 2012, at 96 years of age in Kettle
Falls, Wash. She was born in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan on Sept. 12, 1915, the third of six children to recent German immigrant parents.
The family moved to a number of farming communities, mostly in Alberta, during Anne's years of elementary and secondary schooling. She chose a career in nursing, and made a major move in the early 1940s to Kentucky and Florida for her nurse's training. Anne married H. Lorain Davis in 1949. They settled in Walla Walla, where she worked as a nurse at Walla Walla General Hospital and gave moral and often physical energy in helping her husband establish a family business, College Place Heating. Anne and Lorain had three children. She was the bookkeeper in the family business and deeply involved in several Seventh Day Adventist churches in the Walla Walla area.

Lorain passed away in 1985. Until her passing Anne spent part of her time in her Walla Walla home and more and more time in her Kettle Falls home to be with her daughter. Anne will be most remembered as a wonderful wife and mother, a loyal friend to many and a devout Seventh Day Adventist Christian with a deep and vivid expectation of Christ's soon return. She was happiest when with her family, working in the garden, building and supporting new churches and visiting the sick, elderly and lonely. A prolific reader, she took up the hobby of memorizing Bible verses and spiritual quotations.

She is survived by her three children, Dennis and wife Brigitte Davis of Walla Walla, Carol Anne Davis of Sunnyside, Wash., and Janice and husband George Enquist of Kettle Falls; six grandsons, Isaiah Enquist, Michael Enquist, Joseph Enquist, Tye Davis, Lance Davis and Kraig Davis; two granddaughters, Holly Clark and Lindy Davis. She is also survived by a brother, Albert Will of College Place; and sisters, Bertha Grabo of Strathmore, Alberta, and Esther Claridge of College Place. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Susanne Will; brother, John Will; sister, Margaret King; her husband, Lorain Davis; and her granddaughter, Laura Enquist. xxxx
