WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 42-year-old man Wednesday after he allegedly returned to a home on Dell Avenue he had burgled the day before.

Documents in court this morning said Scott McIntosh broke into the Dell Avenue home to "recover some items he had left behind," according to a witness.

When the homeowner returned, McIntosh attempted to flee in his vehicle. The homeowner collided with McIntosh, who then ran to a nearby house on Heritage Road, where deputies caught up with him.

Deputies found footprints matching McIntosh's shoes near the burglary scene, and the homeowner said he spotted several of his belongings inside McIntosh's vehicle.

McIntosh appeared in court this morning on investigation of residential burglary, attempted residential burglary, first degree trafficking stolen property and second degree possession of stolen property.
