Coppei Coffee, next door to The Times in Waitsburg, is expanding its hours and services, according to an article by Imbert Mathee, who owns both the newspaper and the coffee shop-soon-to-be caf.

In the March 1 issue of The Times, Mathee notes the coffee venture marked its sixth month in business in early February.

What Mathee dubbed "Waitsburg's Living Room," is morphing into more than a coffee shop, starting with a new name: The Coppei Caf.

By expanding hours into the evening, Mathee plans to offer regular music events, such as open mic, ladies night and karaoke.

The Caf offers baked goods, wraps and sandwiches and has received a license to serve beer and wine.
