WESTON, Ore. - A late-morning break in a water line left nine Weston houses dry today, a situation that will likely continue through the night, police said.
The 14-inch pipe buried under a concrete pad also serves as an alternate water source to an industrial site, Sgt. Joshua Henningsen reported in an email
The break was discovered at about 11:30 a.m. Weston's Public Works Department is working on the issue and trying to determine the extent of the problem.
"At this time we do not know the cause of the break in the pipe," Henninsen said. "It looks like the Pine Creek users will be without water at least through the night."
