McDonald-Zaring Insurance is holding a silent auction for tickets to a rockin' performance as a benefit for the American Cancer Society.
Participants bidding for Peter Frampton tickets have a little more than a week to raise the stakes at the downtown Walla Walla insurance company office, 22 E. Main St.
McDonald-Zaring has two tickets for the March 24 performance at Cordiner Hall. The tickets are for Orchestra seats in Row W, seats 1 and 2.
The starting bid for the pair was $110. The auction will run through noon March 21. The winner will be announced at 1 p.m. that day.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, which will take place in Walla Walla on June 8 and 9.

"Medical professionals work selflessly each and every day, saving lives and making friends and family comfortable through times of stress and pain. It's our pleasure to be able to give back just a little to these individuals who perform life-saving miracles everyday," said franchisee Sharon Dodgin, in a prepared statement. Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce members will be the special guests March 24 for a day at Ski Bluewood.
The business membership organization will be part of a meeting and networking event on the slopes from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Chamber members and guests will get a 50 percent discount on lift tickets for the day by bringing the announcement from the Chamber with them. A free lunch buffet will be served.
The event is a joint venture between the Walla Walla, Dayton and Pendleton Chambers.
